Annie Feuerbacher was born January 10, 1880 in Meissen, Germany. In 1886 she, her mother and brothers came to America to be with their father who had preceded the family around 3 years before. Annie was reared up in Austin and lived 2 years at Dripping Springs and Oak Hill, Texas before moving to Dry Creek, southeast of Austin in 1896. It was here on the Dry Creek farm that she met Frank Brooks Mobley. Frank was born in Bastrop County on August 5, 1876. On December 5, 1897 Annie and Frank were married in Austin and lived there for 6 years. Frank was a "Hoss Trader", buying and selling horses. He had the ability to take a sick horse and nurse this horse back to health. He brother-in-law, Willie Feuerbacher, said that Frank was one of the best "Hoss Doctors" he had ever known (also cattle). [CWJ note: I saw him doctor some of my dad's mules once and they got well too.]

In 1904 Frank and his brother-in-law, Hugo, bought a 500 acre black land farm near Campbellton (south of San Antonio) from Mr. Campbell. The weather being dry and the land black, they did not do so good at black land farming. So 5 years later Frank and his family moved into Campbellton and ran a blacksmith shop to make payments on the land. (Uncle Hugo built a house for Mr. Campbell to make his payments.) Three years later Mr. Campbell, for Uncle Frank's half, traded his equity for a sandy land farm also near Campbellton. Here, Uncle Frank ranched and traded horses and, as a hobby, shod race horses for many years. In 1925 Aunt Annie and Uncle Frank moved outside of Austin where they lived at Austin & St. Elmo, which is now a part of Austin. They lived there for 4 and a half years before moving back to Campbellton where they lived until his retirement and moving to San Antonio in 1951. Uncle Frank died July 17, 1966 and Aunt Annie passed away on February 22, 1973. To this family was born 1 daughter.
