Edmund Feuerbacher was born December 2, 1886 in Austin, Texas. Edmund chose not to pursue the trade of his father, but chose to be a farmer as he was trained to do as a young child. He, like the rest, spent 1 year at Dripping Springs and 1 year at Oak Hill. In 1896 he and his family moved to Dry Creek near Del Valle, south east of Austin.

He, like his sister and brother, met his future wife at either the German Church or the numerous dance halls that were in the area at that time. Here he met Ida Roffena Sternberg from Carl, Texas close to Creedmoor, south of Austin. Edmund and Ida were married February 3, 1906. Edmund tried farming on different farms around Carl, Creedmoor and Colton. In 1909 or 1910 he and his family bought a farm at St. Paul, near Sinton, Texas. This didn't work out too well and he moved to Karnes City, Texas. Here he worked in a store for awhile. In 1918 he moved to Neiderwald, north of Lockhart, Texas and again farmed. He later bought and moved to the Sternberg place at Mendoza where he farmed and raised some cattle until he retired. After he retired, he and Aunt Ida moved to a home in North Austin. Here he grew a nice garden and raised his own worms for fishing. Fishing was one of his pastimes that he loved the most. Aunt Ida passed away July 6, 1960 in Austin, Texas and Uncle Ed passed away January 19, 1965 also in Austin, Texas. (KW correction: Ed died in San Antonio, Texas while visiting his daughter, Dorothy). To this family were born 7 children.
