The Royal Court Theater (Konigliches Hoftheater) in Dresden, Saxony was a theatre for opera and drama in the royal seat of the Kingdom of Saxony from 1841 to 1869. It was the predecessor of today's Semperoper and is sometimes called Altes Hoftheater (Old Court Theater). Could this have been the same theater that Gustave's brother, Alwin, was also a machinist or carpenter before moving to Carlsbad after 1870? Apparently Gustave had been the machinist at the theater, but was a soldier by 1871. In some records, Gustave was shown as a Railway Worker.4
