The letter actually says "Doebln in Laveonia" or maybe 'Laseonia'--it is difficult to read.1,2 He and Johannie Marie Mockel married in Germany.1 Carl Gustav died in 1927 in Germany.2 Carl Gustav died on 13 July 1928 in Germany at age 74.1
